Nice yet narrow bridge. On the west bank, it takes a narrow 90deg turn, so be careful.

I know what its purpose is, but I won't tell

A pleasant place for a ride - both on foot and by bike. The routes are mainly along forest paths around the lake. It's a pity that there aren't more of these paths. The lake itself is not very large, but there are water birds, wild ducks, swans, and traces of beavers. The biggest pests are... people, who can leave behind a terrible mess, in the form of piles of rubbish... :-( I don't understand such behavior. Despite everything, I like coming here.

On September 3, 1939, a few dozen meters from the place where the plaque will be unveiled, one of the most extraordinary air battles of the war took place. Lt. Wojciech Januszewicz took off alone in an outdated PZL P.11c against four Messerschmitt Bfc110Bs. Januszewicz shot down one of the enemy planes, while the others withdrew from the fight. This story is an example of Lt. Januszewicz's commitment, courage and fortitude. Thanks to the social initiative and cooperation of various local communities, a plaque was created, which was placed by the bicycle path/technical road at S8, thanks to which one can learn about the extraordinary deed of the Polish pilot.
