The Kalübbe Manor House consists of three buildings dating from different periods. The current main building, an eleven-bay plastered structure on a fieldstone base with a veranda facing the park, was built in the 17th century. A building from the 18th century stands at right angles to it. The left-hand extension was added at the beginning of the 20th century after Dr. Adolf von Griesheim acquired the estate. This expansion was likely carried out by the Laage Agricultural Office under the direction of Paul Korff. The last owner of the 670-hectare estate until 1945 was Ingeborg von Griesheim. During the GDR era, the buildings were primarily residential; later, a restaurant was also operated here. The main building and the left-hand extension have been partially renovated in recent years; they are still occupied. The right-hand building is in a state of disrepair. Behind the manor house lies a small park with a pond. Some farm buildings of the once extensive estate have been preserved. We feature this site in the book "Manor Houses and Castles in Mecklenburg," Volume 4. Source: https://gutshaeuser.de/de/guts_herrenhaeuser/gutshaeuser_k/gutshaus_kaluebbe
