The Bremen Youth Hostel is for me the highlight of the bike tours in recent years, (although I haven't been to a youth hostel for a long time), I could take my bike to my room on the fourth floor, which was of course super convenient for unpacking or packing in the morning. The catering is provided by an external caterer; dinner delicious breakfast: everything a cyclist on tour needs is there. The atmosphere in the whole house is absolutely not comparable to my memory of the past, (I didn't recognize anyone from the staff as a host ;-). The only thing that reminded me of the past was that you had to make your beds in the evening and of course take them off again in the morning. The price for all this, (with a view of the Weser), absolutely unbeatable!! Oh yes, before I forget, you have to be a member of the Youth Hostel Association, but I have been for decades anyway, (just like the German Alpine Club, by the way).

The Weserstadion is far more than just a sports venue – it is the emotional heart of Bremen and the legendary home of SV Werder Bremen. Since the major renovation (completed in 2011), the stadium has been a pioneer in sustainability. The facade and roof are equipped with almost 200,000 solar cells – one of the largest building-integrated photovoltaic systems in Europe. The striking floodlight masts, which once towered far above the city, were replaced with more modern spotlights during the modernization, giving the stadium its current, compact "ship design".

💚The famous green sailing ship "Alexander von Humboldt" has been permanently moored at the Schlachte ⚓️ in Bremen since autumn 2016 and welcomes its guests as a 🍴restaurant and catering ship💚. 💚A commercial for 🍻Beck's beer made the "Alexander von Humboldt" world-famous💚. As a sail training ship, the proud three-masted vessel traveled the seas for many years until it was decommissioned in 2011💚. The name Schlachte comes from the Low German word "slait" meaning "to strike" and refers to the wooden pilings driven into the Weser riverbank, where the merchants' ships and boats moored.
