A long and gentle descent towards Heraklion. Very light traffic, good surface and wonderful scenery. It would also make a super climb starting from Heraklion up to Anogia

The port of Heraklion, also known as the Venetian port, is the historic port of the island's capital. Very beautiful with its small fishing boats and the small fish market, as well as the Venetian fortress Koules, which was built in the 16th century and located at the harbor entrance. The Venetian area (old warehouse) is in the immediate vicinity. From the harbor you can get directly into the streets of the old town and the Archaeological Museum. View of the Koules fortress and the harbor with the many fishing boats. The ferry and industrial port with a cruise ship terminal is further east.
