The Albany-Hudson Electric Trail passes by Kinderhook Lake, and there are actually some great views of the lake whenever there are breaks in the trees. There are some residential houses and neighborhoods around the lake, but so many trees are growing right up next to the edges of the water that it is sometimes hard to spot the buildings. There are a few informational signs and benches along the portion of the trail that borders the lake.

This section of the Albany-Hudson Electric Trail is a really smooth cinder path. It's tucked away in the trees and not really close to any major roads. This is a favorite section for people looking for an easy out-and-back walk without having to cross roads and without any major hills.
