Despite all warnings - we didn't see a single mosquito and didn't need mosquito repellent at all. The tour was therefore a completely undisturbed pleasure for us, the unique landscape is simply a dream 🥰❗️

Unfortunately, the beautiful trees have disappeared. As it looks, they have fallen victim to some construction or renovation measures. A great pity! ☹️

The 6-meter-high observation tower, built of wood, on the western edge of the Königsbrücker nature reserve offers a view over the nature reserve. It is a popular destination on the former airfield, especially during the blooming of heather and broom. Next to the tower, there is a wooden picnic area, which is also excellent for families with children.
