Under the new name “Grelhados do Pinheiro” and with a new owner, there has been a restaurant there again since September 23 :-) Instead of a snack bar, it is now a café-bistro with a grill restaurant, whose friendly staff offers a nice stop after the levada hike.

As in all levada tunnels in Madeira, it is very important to take a flashlight, even though it is a relatively short tunnel (70m or so).

Great introduction to the "Levada hiking world". Beautiful path with only very small differences in height, even a small tunnel is there. But you should have a head for heights, in some places you have to be careful where you step.
