Drinne Tower can be accessed May to September. The forest to the east has been harvested, opening the view towards Mintlaw, Peterhead and Fraserburgh.

The Old Parish Church, also known as Muckle Kirk, stands as a Category A listed church. Local builders, Robert and John Mitchell, undertook the construction of the church from 1804 to 1806, based on a design by Alexander Laing of Edinburgh. The church proudly houses the historic Burgerhuys bell, dating back to 1647.

Situated between Old Deer and Mintlaw, Deer Bridge carries traffic over the Buchan and Formartine Way. This bridge would have been close to the former station of Mintlaw, located a few metres to the east of the bridge.

The ruins of the old mansion house within the Aden estate. The frontage is impressive and interesting to see. It is set within the Aden Country Park, where there is many other things to see, walks, a cafe and visitor centre.

The lake makes a great loop to run, and is often filled with wildlife. A whole loop is about 1km. There is plenty of parking in Mintlaw. The bridge here makes a good picture.

Aden Country Park is a 230-acre country estate with a ruined mansion, parkland and woodland. There is also a cafe (open Wed to Sun 10:00 - 15:00) and a campsite.
