Gut Varrel is a historic estate in Stuhr, Lower Saxony, which is characterized by its well-preserved buildings and picturesque location on the Varreler Bäke. The estate originally dates back to the 14th century and today includes several important buildings such as the manor house, the manor barn, the water mill and the bakery. The manor house is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Varrel and today serves as a venue for seminars, exhibitions and weddings. The water mill, which was built in 1606 as a copper mill and later served as a fulling, tanning and grain mill, is now a clubhouse and shows its historical function to the public. The manor barn from 1903 is used for various cultural and sporting events. The Gut Varrel e.V. support association has played a crucial role in the preservation and restoration of the estate since its founding in 1980. The association organizes numerous events such as concerts, theater performances, summer festivals and the traditional Easter bonfire.
