This is what Stadtlohn City Marketing (SMS) writes: After the last train traveled the Borken-Stadtlohn-Vreden line on a special trip on October 18, 1986, the Stadtlohn Railway Museum was opened in 1996 by the Stadtlohn Railway Club and has been maintained voluntarily by its members ever since. It is the only museum dedicated to the Westphalian State Railway and is located in the former station building. From the outset, the Stadtlohn Railway Club, founded on January 31, 1985, set itself the task of establishing a railway museum or rather a heritage railway. For this purpose, photos, documents, tools, equipment, and railway paraphernalia from the Westphalian Northern Railway were collected over the years. Gradually, the heritage locomotive, the passenger car (Donnerbüchse), a motorized trolley, and an old steamroller were added. They were all painstakingly and lovingly restored and then placed in the newly designed outdoor area. Additional signals, a barrier system, and a station clock also expanded the museum's offerings. As a special highlight, the park railway for young train enthusiasts runs in Losberg Park every year on Sundays and public holidays from April to October.
