Opening and blessing of Franciscus chapel Ooij. OOIJ – The opening and blessing of the Franciscus chapel by Inge Vogels and Frank van den Hoogen took place on Sunday afternoon, November 20, 2022, on the Kruisstraat near Ooij, with great interest. The Franciscus chapel dedicated to Francis of Assisi (1182-1226), the saint who could talk to animals. Inge Vogels and Frank van den Hoogen, who live on the Spruitenkamp, had it built with a large number of volunteers in a part of their meadow on the Kruisstraat. After the word of welcome and thanking all the volunteers by Frank, his grandchildren opened the fence for the chapel. After this, the blessing prayer was said and blessed by pastor Rudo Franken, after which the song of Saint Francis was sung, and the chapel was officially opened. A candle can be lit in the chapel. Inge and Frank's animals are incorporated in the stained glass window. The ceremony was concluded with a drink. In addition to this chapel, there is another one in Millingen aan de Rijn and at the Zwaantje in Mook Source/info: https://groesbeek.gemeentenieuwsonline.nl/nieuws/algemeen/153475/opening-en-inzegening-franciscuskapel-ooij-

The shores of the expansive Bison Bay can get quite lively, especially in summer. Not only are there numerous walkers, but the waterfront is also frequented by free-roaming animals such as grazing cattle and wild horses.
