The watermill on the Goldbach stream is demonstrably the oldest mill in Hagen a.T.W. It was first documented in 1273. In that year, Gerhard and Agnes "de Gelenbeke" gifted an annual rent from the mill to the monastery in Iburg. The mill belongs to the Meyer zu Gellenbeck farm.
