Been there again after about 35 years... used to swim there often. Still a very nice, quiet spot. The water quality probably no longer invites you to swim, it is now a leased water. Certainly top for anglers. For an extended break on the tour, however, 👍 👍 👍.

Officially not accessible ("Entering forbidden") but you can at least drive to the middle (and then even further with some climbing)

An unmarked, partially paved circular path leads around the retention basin, unfortunately the weir at the top of the dam is closed and you cannot walk the entire circuit on the dam wall.

The area is partly in a renovated, but also in a disintegrated state. It exudes its own charm. The walk through the small park and the peace and quiet at the 2 ponds is pleasant and invites you to rest.

Since 1993 this area has been declared a "European bird sanctuary" because native birds, insects and amphibians, some of which are threatened with extinction, have resettled there.
