The Grüne Ring passes by the Neuländer See, which I like to cycle/gravel bike once a year. There is also good parking at the car park and you can take a tour into the Lüneburger Heide. There is a beautiful path along the lake, where you could also watch the water sports enthusiasts.

Here, four Harburg Elbe bridges cross the Süderelbe – the Old Harburg Elbe Bridge, intended exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists, the Bridge of June 17th, the B75, and a little further east, the railway bridge. The most beautiful for pedestrians is definitely the Old Harburg Elbe Bridge - to my great disappointment, it was closed for renovation just when my path led me across the Süderelbe here. At least the Bridge of June 17th also has a lane for pedestrians and cyclists, which at least allows an immediate view of the steel structure of the Old Harburg Elbe Bridge, the Süderelbe flowing beneath it, and the harbor outlets located further west. On the northern side of the Süderelbe, the Mitte district begins with the Wilhelmsburg quarter.
