The Lewis and Clark Discovery Greenway Trail is a well-used trail that runs along the Columbia River. It is a popular path, so it is likely you will see others out enjoying the path, but it is a wide path, so there is more than enough room for everyone to enjoy it. The path is mostly flat and packed gravel, so it is not challenging and you are rewarded with great river views.

Washougal Waterfront Park is a beautiful, small park along the Columbia River. The park has kayak/canoe vehicle launch and a child's play area, but has no other facilities. The Lewis and Clark Discovery Greenway Trail runs through it, so it is a great place for a break to enjoy the peaceful setting and wonderful view of the river.

Parkersville Landing Historic Park, which has restrooms and shaded areas, also features a commemorative plaque marking its significance as the site of Parkersville. It was the first European-occupied town on the north side of the Columbia River. Once the busiest port and dock in this area, it eventually declined in importance as newer, larger steamers popped up.

There are a couple of overlook areas here near the Sandy River Confluence Bird Blind. These trails aren't as traveled as some of the others in the area, but this is one of the best bird watching areas in the entire state.
