It's about a 30-minute walk from the Mutteralmbahn cable car to the alpine hut, and the path is stroller-friendly. If you like Kaiserschmarrn, we only serve it Monday through Friday. No chance on weekends. I would have loved to try one, but we were too early. But despite all that, I would still recommend the alpine hut.

Lake Natterer See is a picturesque natural lake west of Natters, just a few kilometers from Innsbruck. Nestled among rolling hills and dense forests, it offers an idyllic setting for relaxation and leisure activities. In summer, the lake is a popular destination for bathing, swimming, and sunbathing. The water is clear and warms up pleasantly in the warmer months. Around the lake, there are lawns, jetties, and a large water sports facility with slides, a water trampoline, and stand-up paddleboard rentals. The lake is part of the Natterer See holiday paradise, an award-winning campsite with modern accommodations, a restaurant, and numerous recreational opportunities. In addition to traditional pitches, there are also luxury mobile homes, sleeping barrels, and safari tents. Even outside of the bathing season, the lake is a popular spot for walks, jogging, or simply relaxing in nature. In winter, when it's cold enough, the lake sometimes freezes over and becomes a natural ice skating rink. An idyllic place that delights both nature lovers seeking peace and quiet and active visitors!

The **Wirtshaus Nattererboden** is an idyllic inn located in a forest clearing above Innsbruck. A warm, family-friendly atmosphere awaits you with excellent Tyrolean cuisine. The dishes are regional, sustainable, and partly sourced from the inn's own farm – from Kasspatzln (cheese spaetzle) and Wiener Schnitzel to sophisticated 7-course menus created by former world champion chef Gottfried Albert. A selection of 200 Austrian and international wines is also available. The inn is particularly **family-friendly**: Children can romp around on the large playground or visit animals such as alpacas, donkeys, ponies, and sheep on the adjacent farm. Pony rides and carriage rides are also offered. Those who want to stay longer will find cozy **rooms and vacation apartments**. The inn is also a popular venue for **celebrations and weddings**, with space for up to 300 guests, a large garden, and a meadow for romantic weddings with mountain views. Open Thursday to Monday, 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). A perfect place for connoisseurs, families, and nature lovers!

Martina Albert's heart beats for traditional domestic and farm animal breeds, which she offers a worthwhile life on her demonstration farm. Cattle, sheep and goats, white donkeys, mules, Haflinger horses, ponies, chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys share an enclosure. The animals all get along well with one another and live a picture-perfect life. Species conservation is also taken care of: The Neusiedler See National Park has selected Nattererboden for a breeding program for the rare "Austro-Hungarian Baroque donkeys." The inn offers a special year-round activity for its young guests: donkeys and ponies can be borrowed for walks. (Except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when the farm is closed) Source: https://www.nattererboden.at/bauernhof/

Wonderful views await you at the Götzener Bergweg and Bärenmais crossroads. The view goes down to Innsbruck in the Inn valley and to the mountains behind it.

You can reach the Birgitzer Alm via great trails, but make sure that the paths are also used by hikers. From the Alm's sun terrace you have a great view of the Axamer Litzum and the Nockspitze while you treat yourself to a hearty snack. You can find more information and opening times here: https://www.birgitzeralm.at/.

Still asphalt at the bottom, then it turns to gravel, very easy to ride on with a gravel bike in both directions.
