It was really fun. Of course, it always goes uphill and is strenuous for people with little stamina. The view makes up for everything. The Steinalm has received a new, large house, which will probably go into operation in August 2026. With a dog, muzzle required on the alm.

Currently (summer 2025), there is a construction site next to the alpine pasture; the path from Saalbach to the Steinalm is nevertheless very beautiful. Opening hours depend on the weather.

Wonderful place to take a break and enjoy the views in all directions! The food is also very nice, and highly recommended - just make sure you check the working hours ahead of time to make sure it is not closed.

Wonderful place to take a break and enjoy some food/beverages! Just check ahead of time whether or not it is open. If it's closed, there's a vending machine outside with beverages that you can still buy drinks from, and sit out on the terrace looking into the beautiful landscape :)
