A beautiful hike with many panoramic views. Especially lovely in winter when the fog fills the valley.

On the ridge you can enjoy the peace and quiet and also have a wonderful view. I find the route from Viktorsberg very beautiful because you have nature almost to yourself. In summer you come across lots of cows at the summit. Can be done at any time of year.

Monastery Foundation, Viktorsberg The history of the Viktorsberg Monastery The Irish hermit Eusebius had already settled on the Viktorsberg in the 9th century. In 1384, Count Rudolf V of Montfort-Feldkirch founded a monastery of the Franciscan Minorites there, which existed for four centuries until it was abolished in 1785. After that, the monastery church became the parish church of the Viktorsberg community, and the convent building served as a village school and rectory, among other things. At the beginning of the 20th century, the state of Vorarlberg made a significant contribution to the preservation of the ensemble, as it is one of the oldest Christian settlements in Vorarlberg. Today, the former monastery is a popular seminar, event and cultural center for many guests from home and abroad in an impressive location high above the Alpine Rhine Valley. The location and the beautiful view make this monastery a very special place. Parish Church of Saint Victor, Viktorsberg The Viktorsberg parish church is also the monastery church of the former Minorite monastery built in 834. It is one of the oldest Christian settlements in Vorarlberg. It was founded by the Irish saint Eusebius. The saint's head was cut off with a scythe in a dispute with wicked farmers. But Eusebius gets up again, takes his head and places it on the altar of the monastery church of Saint Victor. Only then does he go to rest. This church has a history as long as the monastery. It is named after the pope and martyr Victor I, whose skull has been here as a relic since the 8th century.
