The monument is dedicated to the heath poet Hermann Löns and was erected by the hiking club here in the heath. A small sign on the path "Barge" points to the monument, which stands somewhat off to the side, beautifully situated in the forest.

A memorial to the heathland poet Hermann Löns has been erected in the Winkelhausen Hills. A large boulder bearing a bronze plaque bearing Hermann Löns's portrait and the inscription "Hermann Löns, the poet of the heath" can be found in the middle of the heath. A footpath leads from the "Barge" cycle path into the forest and the heath. To visit the memorial, cyclists should dismount and walk.

The Citizens' Park is not only FOR the citizens; rather, the citizens WERE also involved in its planning and implementation. Among other things, the Senior Citizens' Advisory Council proposed a multi-generational space with fitness equipment, and the beekeepers' association and NABU Rhede are also very active. Several art objects, such as woodwork, etc., also come from the adjacent day clinic. Information boards are located at several locations, where the individual activities can be found, such as: sand beds, wet meadow/ice skating rink, alpaca and goat enclosures, willow igloo/willow tunnel, natural stone terraced garden, water pump, orchard, beekeeper's house with bee education station, insect hotel, living hedges, sensory trail, bicycle parking, toddler playground, multi-generational space, large playground with zip line and trampoline, love bower, chess table, sun gate, bookcase, sports and exercise area, planting around the moat, and a Jewish memorial.

A beautifully landscaped large playground with a trampoline, a walk-in seesaw, and a zip line. Older children can let off steam and experience adventures here. The large trees provide pleasant shade in the summer, and there's also a parking space for bicycles. Right next door is a multi-generational area with fitness equipment, a toddler playground, a sensory trail with a "sun gate," and a chess table in a gazebo. A little further toward the "Altes Jugendheim" (Old Youth Center), there's also a sports and exercise area with a balance and coordination course.
