Right at the edge of the forest, on the path along the railway tracks, stands this old oak tree, a natural monument... Next to the oak tree is a rustic seating area that invites you to linger and rest. An information board provides historical information and explanations about the tree's history... Greetings from the beautiful 🐏 shepherd town of Hungen🐏 SIMI - Simone & Michael 🙋♀️🙋♂️

Approximately 375-year-old oak tree. A natural monument. It is named after the village of Meßfeld, which existed on this site until around 1400. Unfortunately, the paths here aren't particularly scenic.
