There is a beautiful, idyllic bathing area at Lake Owschlag, southeast of Owschlag. A meadow with a playground, a permanent fireplace and a brick barbecue. A mobile DIXI toilet with a water tank for washing hands is also available. There is a shelter a little further up. The grate for the brick barbecue can be rented out free of charge for a deposit. Please contact the building yard on 04336-999036 or by email bauhof(at)owschlag.de. The bathing area at Lake Owschlag is an idyllic place to sunbathe, swim and relax in the summer months. The bathing water quality is regularly checked by the health department of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district during the season. https://www.owschlag.de/tourismus-freizeit/badestelle/

Around 1923, the community of Rickert erected a memorial stone for the fallen soldiers of the First World War on the site where the "Karkhoff" used to be. The population was directly involved in its construction by providing labor and labour. On Remembrance Sunday in 1951, the memorial was expanded to include a plaque with the names of the local fallen soldiers of the Second World War and a memorial plaque for the victims of the war among the displaced persons. The memorial plaque for the victims among the displaced persons commemorates that 66 people lost their lives in the war. Of these, 21 were soldiers, 19 went missing and four died in the prisoner of war camp. 22 victims were civilians. Of these, four people were abducted, four died of deprivation while fleeing or in their old homeland, two people died in the camp and four people were murdered. In 1991, the planting and trees in the complex were renewed. https://gemeinde-rickert.de/geschichte/chronik-reimers/das-ehrenmal/
