Very beautiful.... Done with tranquility and calm. Walking on the sand is a little more challenging, but it's worth it.

Many scenes from Nord Nord Mord were also filmed on the beach of the Ellenbogen, especially as locations and starting points for further investigations by Clüver/Sievers, Feldmann and Behrendsen :-D

Østerstrand is Fredericia's largest beach and has been nominated several times as Denmark's best beach. Located near the Little Belt, this beach is an ideal place to relax and offers everything you need for a perfect day out. The wide, sandy beach provides excellent swimming opportunities, either from the water or from the large, circular pier in the center. Østerstrand is a family-friendly beach with good restroom and changing facilities. Toilets and showers are available, and the restroom building also includes a family changing room with showers. The beach area features pathways and numerous options for a comfortable stay. Several seating and loungers, as well as long tables, are available for beachgoers. Some of the long tables have a stone surface, making it safe to use disposable barbecues. There are also several fire pits along the beach that are free to use. https://www.visitfredericia.de/tourist/reise-planen/osterstrand-gdk608931

Fredericia's ramparts have six openings connecting the city center with the surrounding area, but only three of them have actual gates: Danmarks Port, Prinsens Port, and Nørre Port. Prinsens Port is the oldest of the gates, dating back to 1753 in its current design. When the yellow, brick gate was built in 1753, it replaced an earlier wooden gate. Prinsens Port was designed by the officer and military architect Samuel Christoph Gedde. https://www.visitfredericia.de/tourist/reise-planen/die-tore-von-fredericia-gdk1093915

In spring, the weather can be changeable, so layering is key. We recommend waterproof and windproof outer layers, comfortable hiking shoes, and moisture-wicking base layers.
