The Botanical Garden in Zurich doesn't have to hide! I find it great that it is freely accessible without an entrance fee, so on a weekend day, botany enthusiasts and families alike flock there, lots of people!

The botanical garden offers a huge variety of plants, which are thematically arranged and very well explained. It has smaller park areas that invite you to linger. Absolutely recommended!
