The Wasserkirche (Water Church) originally stood on a small island where, according to legend, the city's patron saints Felix and Regula were executed by the Romans. The late Gothic church was completed towards the end of the 15th century and was considered particularly holy. During the Reformation, it was therefore denounced as a "temple of idols." To prevent anyone from being tempted to reintroduce the cult of saints, a warehouse and later the city library were established in the church. Since its renovation in 1942, it has served both religious and cultural purposes. Particularly beautiful are the choir windows by Augusto Giacometti, created in the same year, which juxtapose the life of Christ with the life of a modern man. A good way to get out of Zurich. You have to ride on the road (marked bike path) until Witikon. From this point on, the bike path runs alongside the road.

It's a beautiful bike ride. Plenty of parking is available (fee applies). Nearby is the Egg swimming pool, with a snack stand (sausage and sandwiches). The Greifensee and Lützelsee lakes are 48 km away, and are also suitable for children.
