But while the griffin on the market has been surrounded by water again since the end of June and the little elephant on the Neuer Markt is happily spraying water from its trunk, the frog fountain in the city park in Anklam (Vorpommern-Greifswald district) and the water feature on the Peene pedestrian bridge are dry. You can take a leisurely walk in the Anklam city forest. The trees are very young in places, but the paths are mostly easy to walk on, there are numerous benches and rubbish bins. There is a large sports field to the east.
