The ramp is in increasingly poor condition, with a sloping outer edge. Overall, it's certainly not the most elegant solution; the latter would have been to simply extend the route, which, however, would have required an expensive bridge along a section of the trail. Instead, there are rather tight switchbacks leading to the beautiful, relatively new section at Villa Reichswald, from where the route rejoins the cycle path via the access road to the villa.
