Kongedyssen is an impressive dolmen and stone circle. Its history stretches back several millennia, from its construction to its excavation centuries ago. Nestled amidst a beautiful natural landscape, it's well worth a visit during a walk. Also great with kids!

A troll by Thomas Dambo stands in the middle of the forest. You can see the figure from the road if you know where to find it. Otherwise, you can easily miss it.

The church, which dates from the 12th century, consists of a Romanesque nave of raw boulders, a rebuilt choir (formerly with an apse) and four extensions, including a western extension of the nave, a late medieval porch in front of the south door, a tower from 1906 above the choir and a sacristy. South of the nave is the church porch, which is built of monastic stone and has built-in black-burnt stones, which form a window pattern around the door. The gable has stepped ridges, which are decorated with five pointed blinds, i.e. decorative wall niches. Around or shortly after the year 1500, the nave was extended to the west with a building of monastic stone. The church tower in its current form dates from 1906-1907. In the church choir there are a number of frescoes from 1470-1480, which were painted by the so-called Helsingborg workshop. The church's only medieval piece of furniture is the Romanesque baptismal font. The altar room is decorated with Arne Haugen Sørensen's painting: Blue Resurrection.

A friendly troll from the Trollmap experience. Nice destination for all ages. At the top of the hill behind the troll there's a great picnic spot. The troll is built from surplus wood by Thomas Dambo and his crew. Look for the other trolls on the Trollmap and go explore nature. 😍

The church is known for its lime paintings. Created between 1450 and 1475, they are attributed to the so-called "Islefjordsværkssted", a group of painters who also decorated other churches with lime paintings. On the column right at the beginning is Christopherus, the patron saint of travelers and pilgrims. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m
