The climb from Dongo to the San Jorio refuge can also be done with a gravel bike... it takes a lot of energy but the dirt road is beautiful.

Here you can also sit in the shade by the mountain stream when it is hot.

Very useful for those arriving from Milan Central, especially since 2024 (bike transport in Lombardy has become free). From Colico you can make trips that go from the valley floor, to the lakeside, to the beautiful mountains between Valtellina and Valchiavenna. The Sentiero Valtellina (which starts right from the station) is well connected to several train stations, and you can take advantage of this feature to not make circular trips but to start and return from 2 different stations. Highly recommended! There is also a fountain to leave already loaded with water.

This panoramic point between Germasino and Stazzona offers a privileged view of Lake Como and the peaks that surround it.
