Nice track along the top of the ridge from Lockerley past Dean to Pepperbox Hill. Great views towards Salisbury and spectacular sunsets from there

Great views from the top but keep an eye out for dog sh*t! There was so much that hadn’t be picked up and I only noticed when it was too late.

W3W: ///sharpness.baseless.printer The wire fence from the byway has a convenient squeeze place to gain access to the (arable) field. On a clear day the Exxon Mobil refinery at Fawley (21 miles) can be seen.

The access track from the A36 is a bit of a deterrent but its just a short way up to a good parking place.

A nice run from the top of PepperBox Hill, with good views across Wiltshire from the chalk ridge. There's more details on PepperBox Hill itself from the Nation Trust site (https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/pepperbox-hill). The path crosses farm land just off from Dean Road, which can sometimes be hard to spot.
