Very difficult summit, 10% average for 12km from Le Bourget du lac, no respite. The view at the top is worth it and in high season there is a restaurant bar for refueling.

I did this cycle path March on 19th 2024 from the Bourget-du Lac to the end near Chambery. It's a two lane route, however it's abysmal as it's packed with all types. Roadies who pass within centimeters, e-bikes the same, runners hogging the whole path. The French never seem to work as I rode the other side north on a March Wednesday afternoon last year and it was almost impossible to ride. Kids are not at school on Wednesday afternoons, so all the parents take off work and go for a ride / walk around the lake! Hate it for biking around here, although it's obviously very picturesque, but no fun with the packed paths.

A beautiful section of road on the slopes of Mont du Chat. You meander between the green expanses of the fields, overlooking Lake Bourget.
