Due to its poor condition in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, it was rebuilt with granite stone. The final necessary renovation was carried out in the 20th century. Currently, the Galapagar pilgrimage is celebrated on the second Sunday in May in honor of Our Lady of the Forsaken.
