Nazwa Mostu Warzelniczego przypomina o jednej z najstarszych gałęzi gospodarki Kołobrzegu – pozyskiwaniu soli z miejscowych źródeł solankowych. W średniowieczu działał tu rozbudowany zespół warzelni, a kołobrzeska sól trafiała szlakami handlowymi w głąb Pomorza i Wielkopolski. Dziś most łączy brzegi Parsęty w rejonie portu i Mariny Solnej.

The park named after Stefan Żeromski has its beginnings in the first half of the 19th century. The first plantings on the coastal dunes were carried out as early as 1809, and in 1853, the Coastal Park and a park in the area of the present-day Monument of the Wedding with the Sea were established on their basis. In 1884, the construction of the Coastal Avenue running along the shore began. The park is one of the preserved elements of Kołobrzeg's 19th-century development as a spa town, and today a comfortable cycling route along the coast runs through it.
