The Orangery on the south side of the park is one of the largest of its kind in Europe, still used today in its original function (176 m x 12 m). It was built between 1812 and 1818 by the architect Carlo Ignazio Pozzi as a three-part neoclassical building. The central section houses apartments originally intended for the garden staff. During the summer months, the east and west sections of the Orangery can be used for events. A post office had existed in Oranienbaum since September 1, 1852. It was replaced by a third-class post office. The post office building, which still stands today, was built for this purpose and opened on July 1, 1875. The telegraph connection was via Gräfenhainichen and was relocated to Wörlitz in 1877. The building was still in use as a post office at the end of the 20th century, but was abandoned around the beginning of the 21st century. After 2014, the building was renovated. The "Postamt" lettering on the west façade, presumably placed during the GDR era, was reverted to its original form, "Imperial Post Office."
