July 8, 2026, EVERESTING POINT MANGLAYANG via BATU KUDA

A permit is required (as of 05.2026). A guide is not mandatory but recommended. In the upper third, there are several tracks to the crater rim. The guide will show you the best route. Overall a dream. Unfortunately, nobody seems to care about the trash. There is quite a bit lying around here.

There are Timor deer that are bred here. Visitors can feed them. But try not to do it from behind the wire fence, poor deer's snout can get hurt. Don't be lazy to walk a little to enter the feeding area in the middle!

There is a district boundary monument next to the hut that can be used for resting for Tahura visitors. A small detail that people rarely notice.
