Hammer route with luggage managed, but took the cable car, descent was grandiose, similarly crazy as the Col de la Loze.

Managed with luggage, even if it was just the cable car. Dream pass and great descent.

Even though I chose the relaxed option with the cable car, the great view is definitely worth it. Got lucky with the weather.

Definitely one of the hardest climbs I've ever done. The first 7 km must be tackled with caution and calmly given the average gradient always in double digits, the last 3km in comparison are a relief, you come out of the woods, the view opens up and the road lets you catch your breath. (Except for the very last 3 hairpin bends :))

A fantastic 360-degree panoramic view of the mountain worlds in all directions rewards the ascent/ride.

The hike is best done in the direction as indicated in Komoot. So, do the ascending part first because that path is very narrow and much more difficult to descend. The Rifugio Tamai is very nice, a pleasant place to stay a bit longer, beautiful view, natural playground for children, llamas and donkeys in the pasture, a large swing overlooking the mountains, delicious coffee, …
