The Ferrata Tissi is often descended in conjunction with the descent via the normal route from Civetta, for example after first climbing to Civetta via the Ferrata Alleghesi. It is classified as C/D, which is slightly more difficult than the Ferrata Alleghesi (C) and is more pleasant to descend than to ascend, as you can go a lot on friction. In addition, you have a longer scree field on the descent, which you would otherwise have to overcome laboriously on the ascent. But of course, you could also ascend the Tissi. Between the start of the via ferrata and the rest, there is usually a snowfield to cross.

Cima Coldai, at an altitude of 2,400 meters, offers spectacular views of some of the most famous peaks, including Pelmo and the nearby Civetta. The view of the lake from above—what more can I say? A summit that's worth a visit, but be careful, as the ascent involves scrambling over unprotected rocks. Not a summit for everyone, but it's worth the effort.

The reservoir lies between the northern slope of the Marmolada and the Padon ridge running north of the lake. The SS 641 "del Passo Fedaia" state road runs along the northern shore of the lake from Canazei to Rocca Pietore. The Avisio River, which originates in the glacial area of the Marmolada and flows further through the Fassa Valley, is dammed, as are several smaller streams, such as the Torrente Vernel and the Torrente Ombretta. The water from the Torrente Obretta, which lies below the reservoir, is collected and pumped into the lake.[3]

You have to be careful on the last 100m of altitude on the Cima di Coldai, it is very steep.

The hut is part of the Alta Via No. 1 and is located on the trail between Rifugio Coldai and Rifugio Vazzoler. A visit is not to be missed. The view from the nearby Col Rean to Lago Alleghe, almost 1,000 meters below, and the northwest face of the Civetta are particularly impressive.
