June 28, 2026, Macra Village and Watermill

Beautiful village, crossed upstream by the provincial road, and in the middle by two streets closed to motorized traffic. Very beautiful is the paved lane that leads from the provincial road down to the little church, passing between the houses. The mill overlooks the stream, and is splendidly preserved. Interesting is the covered passage of the main lane, which passes under the front canopy (pronaos) of the little church.

The walk is, for this area, not that steep. The signposting is fine. We only met other people twice. Breathtaking!

Two very close hamlets, located at about 1300 m. The Chapel in the hamlet of Maurengo is dedicated to San Bartolomeo.

It is the first village that you come across on the photographers' path, going clockwise. In fact it seems that no one lives here, with a church and some uninhabited huts
