A valuable feature of the Anna Chapel is its one-piece mountain altar. According to local information, this is one of three mountain altars in Europe - alongside the two winged altars in Annaberg (Saxony) and Gossensaß (South Tyrol). The lower part shows the mining village of Hütten with a tunnel entrance from which a miner is pushing a cart. Above it are several mining saints, including St. Barbara with the chalice. Saint Florian is also depicted, leaning on a red-white-red striped flag with his left hand and pouring water with his right hand on a partially burning miners' hut to put out the fire. The miners' chapel of St. Anna in Hütten was built in 1769/70 on behalf of and at the expense of the Salzburg prince-archbishop Sigismund III Christoph Graf Schrattenbach to replace a demolished previous building after he had purchased the Leogang mines. The chapel is dedicated to the grandmother of Christ and mother of Mary, Saint Anna, the European silver saint. The last fundamental restoration of the chapel took place in 1982/83. The Leoganger Ache originates near the Tyrolean border in the Leogang district of Hütten at 960 m from the Schwarzleobach, which comes from the southwest and rises below the Spielberghorn in the Tyrolean Slate Alps north of Saalbach at the Spielbergtörl at about 1600 m, and the Grießner Bach from the Grießenpass, which flows out of the Grießensee and the Grießener Moor at 970 m. With the Schwarzleobach, the river is 22 kilometers long. Source https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leoganger_Ache
