On display is a fascinating collection of tin figures depicting the Celtic settlement "Houbirg". There are also many rare exhibits from the prehistoric excavation site in Hunas. This is a site where living quarters have been found that are between 130,000 and 260,000 years old. A new permanent exhibition is "In the Realm of Darkness", which focuses intensively on the caves of the Franconian Jura. From the skull of a cave bear to a fully equipped cave explorer, you can find out everything you need to know about the "underworld" here.

The Laurentius Church in Pommelsbrunn is a listed Evangelical Lutheran parish church, which is registered in the Bavarian monument list under monument number D-5-74-147-8. It is located in the district of Nürnberger Land and belongs to the Hersbruck deanery in the Nuremberg church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria1. The church was first mentioned in documents in 1393 and has been called St. Lorenz since 1403. Originally it was a fortified church and served as a branch church of Happurg until 15262. In the 17th and 18th centuries, significant structural changes were made that correspond to the current appearance. The interior of the church is decorated with attractive stucco ornaments and pictures on the ceiling and on the galleries. Particularly noteworthy are the interchangeable altarpieces, which are changed according to the church season and depict the Adoration of the Shepherds and the Deposition from the Cross2. The church is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and offers services at 9 a.m. on Sundays and public holidays. You can also get more information from the parish office. Source: KI
