Sometimes known as Sparrowe's House, Ancient House is a an elaborate 15th century building. The house is adorned with pargeting, decorative plastering from Suffolk ad Essex. Part of the pargeting depicts the tudor view on the four continents then known to them, Africa, America, Asia and Europe. The Royal Arms of King Charles II was added in the 17th century.

Christchurch Mansion is over 500 years old. It is now a museum but until 1884 was home to a succession of noble families. There is a tea room in the museum should you be in need of any refreshments on your run.
