The history of Havelschloss Zehdenick dates back to the Middle Ages.
First documented 800 years ago as a Slavic castle on the peninsula,
it was the starting point for the settlement of the town of Zehdenick. As a relic
from that time, the cellar vault still offers a rustic charm today and serves
not only as a breakfast restaurant but also as a registry office for weddings.
The room can accommodate up to 40 people. In good weather, the terrace
with a view of the Havel invites you for breakfast and relaxation.

The castle, located on a small peninsula, has its origins in the 12th century, as evidenced by the existing vault. On these foundations, a Renaissance castle was built, which was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War (1631). It rebuilt a hundred years later. It was renovated in the years 2001-2003.
