Almost 7 km underwater. You don't experience something like that every day. It can be tiring on a bike if you've brought too much luggage. The air inside isn't so good, but it's manageable. You should always have good lighting because there's a lot of traffic in the tunnel.
I had fun with the appropriate metal music.

With this test of nerves, every cyclist must prove themselves worthy of being allowed to reach the North Cape…
Jokes aside 😄
The tunnel is lit and generally good to ride through. As said here, dress warmly and take some off in the valley floor. Otherwise, secure your load and eat a Corrny beforehand.
The soundscape is unique, a group of choppers overtook me, you think the Balrog from Lord of the Rings is after you.

On the way to the North Cape no path leads past this tunnel. The tunnel is almost 7 km long and goes down to -212m below sea level. The first 3.4 km is about 9% downhill and the last 3.4 km it is again a good 9% uphill. So turn on the lights! Otherwise, do not let the cars and buses stop you and fight your way up. Have fun!
