The lighthouse is located at the end of the Camino de Ronda and is one of the most visited places of interest in Salou. It was inaugurated in April 1858 and is located in a very beautiful natural environment where you can see native plants such as the asparagus, the white pine, the sea lily, the agave or the cerrillo, among others.

    Salou Coastal Path Loop

    130m

The Salou Coastal Path Loop invites you to explore the stunning Costa Daurada with a 11.9-kilometer route and an elevation gain of 133 meters, which you can complete in approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes. It's a moderate hike that immerses you in a vibrant Mediterranean landscape, alternating wooden boardwalks with rocky trails and sandy sections. From the lively Punta del Lari to the tranquility of coves like Cala Crancs, the path offers spectacular sea views and the opportunity to discover the rich biodiversity of Cap Salou.

To plan your visit, it's essential to wear appropriate hiking footwear, as the terrain is varied and may include uneven sections. Although it's an accessible route, especially in its sections closer to Salou, we advise you to carry water, particularly if you go in summer, as shade is limited. You can access the route from various points in the city, and the best time to enjoy it is during spring or autumn, when the weather is milder and crowds are smaller.

This trail is part of the historic Camí de Ronda, an ancient path used by fishermen and for coastal surveillance, which gives it a special charm. Along the route, you'll not only enjoy the natural beauty but also find historical remnants such as old bunkers and the emblematic Salou Lighthouse. It's an excellent option for observing seabirds and discovering small hidden coves, many of which are perfect for a refreshing swim.
