The house at Kalēju iela 23 in Riga was designed by architect Paul Mandelstam in 1903. It is an outstanding example of Art Nouveau with a richly decorated facade, floral ornaments, and curved forms. Originally built as a residential and commercial building, it was restored in 1983. Mandelstam, a Jewish-Latvian architect, significantly influenced Riga's architecture in the early 20th century.
