The Protestant congregation initially met in a hall before a site for the construction of a church was found between 1881 and 1882. The neo-Romanesque church was damaged during both wars. The organ keyboard, repaired after the war, comes from the Protestant Church of Sainte Aurélie in Strasbourg. Albert Schweitzer is said to have played and recorded several organ concerts there.
