The road that connects Castel Rigone to Umbertide is full of suggestive views, in every season, and is worth a visit. Very particular when the fog wedges itself between the valleys, making the hills look like islands in the middle of the sea

One of the most evocative points on the ascent of the SP142 towards Castell Rigone. At a hairpin bend, among the trees, the ancient Castello di Polgeto appears, perched on the hill and perfectly integrated into the Umbrian landscape. It's worth slowing down for a few seconds to enjoy this view, which makes the climb even more fascinating.
