Hiking
The name has nothing to do with Count Zeppelin's airships. It bears this nickname because of its special construction: it has a unique slat construction for a self-supporting roof without internal support beams or wooden pillars inside. This construction (by designer Achim Zolldinger) made the building technically outstanding and "superior" compared to other barns in Putlitz – similar to how the spectacular Zeppelins of their time were considered engineering masterpieces. Hence the nickname "Zeppelin Barn".
