Above Klingenmünster lies this extremely well-preserved castle, which is one of the most famous in the Palatinate. From the keep, you have a sensational view over the entire Rhine plain. Concerts and medieval markets (Landeckfest) take place here, where you can watch all sorts of colorful goings-on. A castle tavern with a terrace also invites you to enjoy tarte flambée and other dishes.

The castle Landeck above Klingenmünster was built around 1200. Since 1881, the Landeck Association operates the elaborate restoration measures. The castle Landeck is today a popular destination. The Burgschänke is open all year. From the castle courtyard, there is an impressive view of Klingenmünster and the Wingert landscape up to the Rhine plain. On the grounds of the castle ruins Landeck medieval markets are held annually under the name "Landeckfest".
