"The development of the Maille-Bahn road in Pillnitz and part of today's Laubegaster road dates back to 1725. "At that time, Augustus the Strong had Pöppelmann plan the avenue that would lead from Pillnitz Castle via Hosterwitz to the "Zur Schanze" inn," says a newspaper article from 1976. This was to be another route to Dresden after Dresdner Straße. On the one hand, there was a ferry from Schanze to Laubegast. [...] On the other hand, Laubegaster Straße flows back into Pillnitzer Landstraße in Niederpoyritz, which leads to Loschwitz and then on to Dresden." - stadtwikidd.de/wiki/Maille-Bahn
