Hermann Löns (born August 29, 1866 in Culm, West Prussia, † September 26, 1914 at Loivre near Reims, France) was a German journalist and writer. Already during his lifetime Löns, whose ideal landscape was the heath, became a myth as a hunter, poet of nature and homeland, and as a natural scientist and protector (from Wikipedia).
